Arrival Advice

Settling into a new city can be exciting and challenging. Melbourne Global Mobility want to ensure that you transition seamlessly into campus life and Australian life.

The first couple of weeks are often the most daunting and you will no doubt have a lot of questions. Melbourne Global Mobility are here to assist you prior to and during the semester period.

Airport Pickup & Temporary Accomodation

New interstate or international students (including Study Abroad and Exchange) that have accepted an unconditional academic offer to the University of Melbourne can access our arrival services, including airport reception, arranging temporary accommodation and help with long-term housing.

This airport pickup service is only available to interstate or international students commencing their first semester at the University of Melbourne. Only one free airport pickup is available to you.

Important Dates

When you first arrive you will be busy settling into Melbourne and keen to sort out your enrolment and timetable so that you are ready start classes on the first day of semester. There is a a compulsory Welcome Briefing run by Melbourne Global Mobility and a week long University orientation program offering many sessions that will be useful to study abroad and exchange students.

Melbourne Global Mobility’s Study Abroad and Exchange Outreach Advisor provides ongoing assistance to you as an incoming student during your studies here. Our ’open door’ policy means you can meet confidentially with our Outreach Advisor on matters concerning all aspects of your stay in Australia.
