Universitas 21 Global Ingenuity Challenge

Calling all creative thinkers and problem solvers!

The Universitas 21 Global Ingenuity Challenge has come around again, and we are assembling a team to compete!

The Global Ingenuity Challenge is a competition for interdisciplinary teams of undergraduate students to find solutions to real-life problems. This year’s theme is ‘Promoting Cultural Inclusiveness in Society’. Working with a facilitator, teams will use the ‘Ingenuity’ process for creative problem solving to define the problem to be solved, identify stakeholders and possible solutions, and finally produce a three minute video detailing their proposed solution.

The competition will take place between Wednesday 15 and Tuesday 28 March, with an expected time commitment of 10 hours over those two weeks. If your team wins, each student on the team will win an Apple iPad 2!

A judging panel will determine the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. In addition to the students on the winning team will reciving an Apple iPad 2, the prize for second place is a $100 Apple voucher (per team member) and the third-place prize is a $50 Apple voucher (per team member).  There is also a Peers’ Choice Award is chosen by students who participate in the challenge who review the videos submitted by their peers and vote for one of them (not their own). Winners of the Peers’ Choice Award will receive a $100 Apple Voucher (per team member). All participants will receive a U21 goodie bag.
